Head Golf Professional David Glasby, a member of the Professional Golfers’ Association since 2001, has managed and operated numerous clubs in Florida and Michigan. His success at the Tournament Players Club of Tampa Bay lead him back to the TPC of Michigan in Dearborn and back south to operate the TPC Heron Bay in Coral Springs and the Wellington National Golf Club before moving back to Michigan and the Black Lake Golf Club in 2025.

In 2017 David achieved the designation of Certified PGA Professional in Teaching and Coaching and works closely with the First Tee of Northern Michigan developing junior golfers with quality instruction as well as life lessons.

Mike Pearson, PGA Golf Professional at Black Lake Golf Club has been working with golfers of all levels of skill.  His innate ability to analyze a golfer’s swing and provide teaching techniques in a communicative style allows the golfer to hone in on their natural ability.  Mike has been a student of the game for many years and follows the concepts developed by Ben Hogan and Bobby Jones.  These include the importance of proper setup, movement, sequencing and developing a mental picture of the swings plane.  In the winter months, Mike relocates to Naples, Florida and provides instruction at Vineyards Country Club.
